It is stated that the Japanese have the world's lowest
Mortality rate, which has a lot to do with our food. Meanwhile, washout, which has a global reputation for being both healthful and tasty, has been designated a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Sushi bars and tempura eateries are attracting crowds in London, New York, and Paris. Certainly, Japanese food is becoming the poster child for a healthy diet.
While I agree with half of this trend, I must point out that not all Japanese dishes are delicious, and not all Japanese people are role models of longevity and well-being.
A lot of dishes in Japan such as sukiyaki, ramen, or even sushi aren't healthy in my opinion: Sukiyaki and ramen both contain beef, and the traceability of fish used in sushi, particularly conveyor belt sushi, is unclear. Food additives are used in the majority of restaurants and stores, and vegetables are not cultivated organically.
