Death and the Great Mechanico

The Great Mechanico—super-man of super-science, inventor of the atomic spoon and the self-denigrating doormat—knows that all things born must die, including his own mother. She is old and frail, his mother. She speaks in wispy fragments that disintegrate in midair. The Great Mechanico knows she will die, and wonders if science can help.
