在这集子里，《春痕》，原名《一个不很重要的回想》，是登载在1923年的《努力周报》的，故事里的主人翁是在辽东惨死的林宗孟先生。《一个清清的早上》和《船上》，曾载《现代评论》；《两姊妹》，《老李的惨史》，见《小说月报》。《肉艳的巴黎》，即《巴黎的鳞爪》的一则，见《晨报副刊》。《轮盘》不曾发表过。其余的几篇都登过《新月》月刊。 现代文学作家之中，早逝的徐志摩拥有较多一些的青年读者，这是很自然的。好多次，《再别康桥》的句子，冷不防从妙龄男女口中随意吟出，令人怦然心动。徐志摩，简直就是浪漫的化身。
